Team Update

The building project in Ajadaa continues to progress well with the help of Christians from Sanda Te and Lassa Tchou. Please continue to pray for the people who are hearing the Good News at the current preaching points. Many of them are nearing the time when they will have to make a choice of which path to choose. The Kabiye team is currently working with 16 churches and 6 preaching points.

TEACHER SEARCH: We are still praying and looking for a teacher for the 2006-07 school year. If you are interested (or know some else who is) please contact Tracey at btries@kabiyemission.org!

Reeves Family Update - kabiye4christ@yahoo.fr

Hello to each of you. It is trying really hard to rain as I write this blurb and I wish it would so it would knock down the humidity. The wind blew extremely hard here this afternoon and blew in some nice looking rain clouds. However, they haven't really given us much rain yet. Things are going well here. The exciting news is that our new car is in the port and should be free on Wednesday. Now all we have to do is get the money for taxes together. Right now the customs officials are asking for about 50% tax. There is no way we can afford to pay that so we are asking you to pray this week that the officials will see beyond their pocket books and lower the amount to something much more reasonable.

We have spent a lot of time this past week getting the house more completely in order and are now trying to get everything stored that needs to be stored before we leave for the states. Also this past week we had our annual worker party. Labor Day was on the 1st and it has become tradition for all of our families to throw a bash for all of our workers. They get to eat a lot and play games like tug of war. It seemed to be a great success.

David spent time in Bodowda this week on Saturday morning. No one was there for the meeting and so David took the time to visit with one of the older members of the church in his home. Satan really threw a curve at this Christian man (Koujonaa). His friend was there visiting with him when David arrived and the friend soon began to challenge faith in God and whether or not God even exists. Koujonaa really struggled to be a witness and even at times laughed and agreed with his friend. David gave some stern challenges to both of these men and expressed God's love to them. Please be praying for each of these men and especially for Koujonaa to express his faith with greater boldness.

Becky is doing good, the kids are healthy and David is well. We praise God for that. Our tickets are purchased for our trip to the States. We will be leaving Accra, Ghana on the 29th of May and will see some of you very soon. God bless each of you with the love and grace of our Lord. The Reeves
