Team Update

This past weekend's all-church retreat was great success. Members from all but 3 of the 16 Kabiye churches met in Lassa Tchou for a couple of days of prayer, praise, study and fellowship. After worship on Easter Sunday, everyone stayed for the 'inauguration' of the Tchou church's new building (pictured left). Thank you for your prayers for the retreat. They were answered mightily! The Kabiye team is currently working with 16 churches and 6 preaching points.

Reeves Family Update - kabiye4christ@yahoo.fr

We bring each of you a hot greeting from our family. It is a goober cooker over here, to coin a good southern expression. We have moved into our new home and the electric company has decided to throw us an extended house-warming party by cutting off our electricity every afternoon and then right at bed time in the evenings. I am literally dripping with sweat as I type this blurb and hoping I do not short out the computer. We could use some prayers for patience.

Otherwise this has been a great week for our family and for the work. Becky is doing well. She is still having contractions everyday but is continuing to manage. Thank you for your prayers for her. Hannah, Elijah and Gabe have been doing well also. Hannah and Elijah were glad for school to get going again after their spring break. We celebrated Passover with our family and the kids had a great time hunting Easter eggs with their teammates and eating way too much candy. We have completed our move for the most part. There are still a few scattered small things remaining at our old house but we are already enjoying our new place. It is quieter and we believe it will be cooler once we actually get to use the fans for an extended period of time.

Our week has been marked mostly by the move. However, time was shared with the all-church retreat this Easter weekend. I will write more about the weekend in our blog (http://kabiye4christ.blogspot.com) but suffice it to say for now that the weekend was a great success and was very encouraging for everyone who attended. God clearly answered prayer and we are thankful for those of you who prayed for the retreat. We ask you to pray now that God will help those who attended to take the blessings they received and share them with the other members of the church in each of their own villages. We pray for you often and love each of you very much. Keep the prayers coming our way. They are what we desire more than anything. God bless. The Reeves
