Team Update

The Kabiye Team has had the joy this week of welcoming our teammate Brett Emerson back to Kara! We are enjoying his presence with us as he re-connects with our team and Kabiye Christians and makes logistical preparations for their upcoming move to Kara. Regan, the guys, and Brett took a short trip to the Pendjari National Park in Benin and were blessed with the sighting of many animals (see pictures at left). The Kabiye Team is currently working with 16 churches and 7 preaching points.

This has been a full week for our family! We celebrated Hannah’s 7th birthday on the 15th. Her “real” princess dress from her grandparents was a big hit and she’s been parading around in it daily since she received it! We are so proud of her and how sweet and helpful she is becoming. She is beginning to grow into young lady already. We also covet your prayers for Becky and her pregnancy. She is 16 weeks along and had some bleeding on Thursday. She’s trying to lay and sit down as much as possible until we can see an ob/gyn from the states who will be at the Baptist hospital in Tchico this coming weekend. The bleeding has stopped but she continues to have a lot of contractions if she’s not laying or sitting down. Please be praying that this doctor can give us an accurate assessment of what we need to do to give this baby the best chance to enter the world at the right time. We, as always, are thankful for our teammates and other Christians in our community here in Kara that minister to us in such gracious and sacrificial ways. We’re thankful to have Brett Emerson here, too, and ask you to continue to pray for him and his family as they prepare to arrive at the beginning of next year. May God bless you this week!
