Team Update

The Kabiye churches are making a big effort to reach their lost neighbors in places like Soumdina Kade (pictured left), Tchefengda, Saamila Welesioudaa and Kayahta. This week, we learned that the Bodowda church has made some contacts in the nearby village of Nyaode. Also, the Ajadaa church hopes to begin evangelism in Kawa Koumeada soon. Finally, we are praying that another work will begin in the mountain village of Tchichao Hazi. Please pray that the Light will shine in these dark places and the Kingdom will continue to grow in Kabiyeland.

We are also looking forward to the arrival of Brett Emerson later this week. The Kabiye team is currently working with 16 churches and 6 preaching points throughout Kabiyeland.

Reeves Family Update - kabiye4christ@yahoo.fr

Greetings from DUSTY Kara! The Harmattan winds have blown dust from the Sahara down with greater force the last few days than they have all season! We're enjoying the break in hot weather but aren't enjoying the nosebleeds, dust headaches, and cracked skin! We've had a good week. The children are enjoying school and adjusting to daily life without the Neal kids (although they are still talked about every day!) Becky is feeling better and continues to enjoy teaching the kindergarten boys twice a week. David was blessed to have some spiritual renewal time near a waterfall this past Saturday.

Becky was privileged to make a visit with 6 of the lady Christians from Lassa Tchou to visit Christians in Ajadaa this last Wednesday. The women had planned to go and encourage one of the older Christian ladies in Ajadaa who had stopped coming to church and was questioning her faith because of pressure from friends in her village. Because of miscommunications she wasn't there, but the Lassa Tchou women were still able to witness to 3 other women who are not Christians and encourage one of the older Christian ladies in her faith. It is sweet just to witness our Kabiye sisters encouraging one another's faith and witnessing to each other of what the Lord has done in their lives and that He is more than worthy of trust. David had an especially good visit in Bodowda this last week and asks that you continue to pray for the Bodowda Christians as they begin evangelism in Nyaode. Also, please give thanks with us that David wasn't injured in a fall he had on his hike and also that he was safe after a major blowout in one of the tires on our car on his way out to Legue Legue this past week. Both were a bit scary. Thank you so much for your prayers for our family, team, and the Kabiye people who share with us in joyful life in Christ and those who someday will. God's blessings upon you! -The Reeves
