Team Update

Happy New Year everyone! Thank you for your partnership with us in this work over the past year. We anticipate another exciting, growth-filled year for the Kabiye churches in 2006. We pray that the Lord blesses you richly this year as He works through you to further his kingdom and bring glory to His name. Please pray for the meeting of representatives from each of the Kabiye churches this Saturday, Jan. 7th. We will be discussing elderships and evangelism. The Kabiye team is currently working with 18 churches and 4 teaching points throughout Kabiyeland.

Happy Holidays from the Reeves family! We pray that you've had good celebrations with family and friends over Christmas and the New Year. We enjoyed very much the holiday season and are now ready to enter into this new year with confidence knowing that God is in control and is going to do great things! Our family is doing well and aside from a touch of a few amoebas for Gabe we are all healthy.

God has been blessing the growth of the Kabiye churches. Just this past week I was thinking how not too long ago we could visit a church on any given Sunday and not know for sure whether it would meet for worship or not. However, these past two Sundays we have had very encouraging meetings with the churches in Hade Te and Soumdina Po Wayi and this seems to be more the norm now rather than the exception. We had such an encouraging time today worshipping with the Christians in Soumdina Po Wayi and it is clear that God is moving in their lives as we witnessed them praising Him with no reservations and all confidence. We ask that you join us in praising God for this as it has begun happening more and more all over Kabiye land. This coming Saturday (January 7th) leaders from many of our churches will be coming to Kara for our second Men's Leadership Conference. We will be discussing Church Leadership and Strategic Evangelism and are praying that these men will come with open ears and hearts and that the time they spend together will be encouraging and a motivation to do greater and greater works for the Kingdom of God in Kabiye land. So please be praying for this conference and for the hearts and minds of each man who will be attending. Pray that God's peace and grace will prevail in every word and thought. Please pray for the villages of Bodowdaa and Legue Legue as they move closer to beginning evangelism in another village near to their own. Also pray for the church here in Kara as they continue to work for the Lord. We love each of you and you are in our prayers. Thanks for being a part of this team and this work among the Kabiye.
