Team Update

The Christmas season made for a busy, busy week for both our team and the Kabiye churches. Most of the churches hosted Christmas celebrations in their villages and the children of the Lassa Tchou church put on a Christmas play (see picture to the right). Our team had a zany gift exchange and party last Wednesday and our school kids put on their own Christmas play on Sunday. We pray your week was as blessed as ours.

This week, please be sure to read the Neal’s blurb for a special update. The Kabiye team is currently working with 18 churches and 4 teaching points throughout Kabiyeland.

Reeves Family Update - kabiye4christ@yahoo.fr

Greetings to all and a very Merry Christmas! If you are enjoying the snow and wintry weather, we are a little jealous but otherwise very happy for you! God has been good to us and we are enjoying a merry holiday season. Our children had a great time opening gifts and are very thankful to all who generously gave to them. The adults in the family are thrilled and thankful as well. We do, however, wish we could have spent at least part of the season with you and enjoyed the warmth of friends and family in the States. Our family is doing well health wise and have enjoyed the last week. The kids have enjoyed the holiday break from school and were thankful to be able to do their annual Christmas play. They were very cute and did a great job singing and "acting."

We have been working, too. The Lord continues to move among the Kabiye people. Our family worshiped this Christmas morning with the Hade Te church and after services we were blessed to witness the birth of five new Christians. Two women, one man and three kids put on the Lord in baptism and we praise God for this miracle. Please pray for these new Christians as they begin their walk with the Lord.

Also pray for our upcoming leaders meeting here in Kara. Leaders from most and hopefully all of the churches will be coming to Kara to meet and discuss leadership in the church as well as strategic evangelism on January 7th. Please pray that God will reign supreme in their discussions and interactions and his wisdom will be sought out as they make decisions together.

The work in Bodowda and Legue Legue continues to progress as they move toward beginning evangelism in other villages near to them. Pray for that process and the willingness of the Christians to share their faith with others. Continue to praise God with us and know that we pray for you everyday. You are God's anointed ministering to us. Thank you so much! Love, The Reeves
