Team Update

Our work reached another milestone this week as the first group of elders were installed in the N’Djei cluster. The occasion was marked by prayer, celebration and admonition – both for the new elders and the young men who may someday become elders themselves. Please pray for these new elders to be strong, bold and Godly leaders. The Kabiye team is currently working with 18 churches and 4 teaching points throughout Kabiyeland.

Reeves Family Update - kabiye4christ@yahoo.fr

This week has taken on a holiday feel to it as we've decorated our house for Christmas and scheduled all of our team and family plans for the next few weeks. We're looking forward to a Kara women's party this next weekend as well as Christmas caroling, the Christmas play, Adult Christmas party, cookie exchange, school Christmas parties, and worshipping with our Kabiye brothers and sisters on Christmas Day. Enjoying one another and celebrating the sweetest gift of God to us in the Lord Jesus during this time of year is always such a blessing. We think, too, about all of you, our families and friends in the states, and are so thankful for the blessing you are to us. We praise God for you and miss you during this time of year, especially.

We are overjoyed and humbled to report that from our sponsoring church in Richland along with the Prineville Church in Oregon and a few individuals $27,000 has been given, as of last Sunday, towards the purchase of a new vehicle for the remainder of our time here in Togo! We are waiting with hearts both expectant and prostrate for God to provide the rest of the funds for the purchase of an automobile here in Togo. Our car is still running at the moment but has begun to have some electrical trouble this week. Please join us in thanking God for his provision of funds and ask Him to keep our present vehicle running until we can secure a new one.

We are enjoying reconnecting with Christians in Kabiyeland whom we haven't seen since before our furlough last June. We had an enjoyable time visiting with some of our friends in Legue Legue last Sunday. The church had already met earlier than usual and were finished worshipping when we arrived so we had an opportunity to sit and visit. Here, Becky and Regan are talking with the chief in Legue Legue, who is also a Christian. Hannah, Elijah, and Gabriel are all healthy at the moment and enjoying school and playing outside. We are amazed and delighted with them and their individual personalities! Thank you for your prayers for them. May God bless you this week! -The Reeves
