Kabiye Team News Team Update The Kabiye team is currently working with 19 churches and 4 teaching points throughout Kabiyeland. This past week, it was back to regular visits in the village. Many of the churches are preparing to start, or have already started, evangelism in nearby villages. Pray for the Lord’s kingdom to grow in Kabiyeland through their witness. This next week, we’ll be hosting missionary friends from Burkina Faso and southern Togo as we celebrate Thanksgiving together and have a sports camp for the kids. Reeves Family Update - kabiye4christ@yahoo.fr Greetings from our family to each of you. Our entire family brings greetings because we are finally back together and really trying to get back into the swing of things. David enjoyed his trip to Rwanda and felt that God moved in mighty ways to show him many things of eternal significance. Rwanda is a beautiful country with a great need for God to work a revival in the lives of those who already call him Lord and bring many from the darkness into the light of his Son. Please be praying for Rwanda and for those who went and are now considering a return there one day. We know that God will work his good purposes. Things are going well here in Kara now that we are back together as a family. David had an enjoyable visit with the church in Bodowdaa on Friday and a number who are not yet Christians were there as well. There were many questions asked about a ceremony called Habiye. It is a very pagan ritual that happens once every five years and very much exalts the power of Satan. Their questions gave David the opportunity to encourage the Christians in their responsibility to stand up for the the truth and against evil and challenge the non-Christians about their allegiances to Satan and invite them to come each Friday to learn about the love and power of God. On Saturday, Becky went to Ewede to teach a women’s lesson and will continue to do that in many of the villages over the next several weeks and months. Our family is doing well. Aside from allergies, which are normal, we have been healthy this past week. We thank you so much for your prayer on our behalf and know that God is listening so keep praying. We are anticipating our late Thanksgiving bash with the teams from southern Togo and Burkina Faso. It should be a great time for everyone. Please pray for their safety as they travel to and from our homes this upcoming week. We love you all and commit to pray for you as well. God bless each of you. -- The Reeves |
