Team Update
 A
birth and three rebirths headline this week for our team. Caden
Darrell Emerson (pictured at left) was born last Tuesday to our
teammates Brett and April. We are so excited for them and can’t
wait to have them over here with us in Togo. Today in Tankoda,
3 people were baptized into Christ (pictured at right). It is
amazing the see the fruits of Spirit’s moving through the
Tchikpiou church which took initiative to evangelize in
Tankoda. The Kabiye team is currently working with 19 churches
and 3 teaching points throughout Kabiyeland. |
Reeves Family Update -
kabiye4christ@yahoo.fr
Greetings to each one of you from our family. After a long but nice
furlough we are finally back in Togo and in our home. Things were well
taken care of here by our teammates and workers and our house was
welcoming when we arrived. Thanks so much for your prayers concerning
our travels. Our flights could not have gone better and we arrived with
all of our baggage. We are working to get settled back into the swing of
things. This will take some extra time as David will be going to Rwanda
for most of the month of November to do research. Please
pray for this trip and for the rest of the family as they will be here
in Kara while David is gone.
There are always some complications to getting back into the swing of
things and sickness has again reared it's ugly head in our family.
Hannah is quite sick at the moment and has been for a solid week. She
has been running fevers as high as 104.4 and is not eating well. We have
had her tested for malaria and the test came back positive. However, we
are concerned because the malaria is responding to the medicine slower
than usual and she continues to run fevers. Please pray for
Hannah's healing. We believe the medicine will do it's
job, but we are a little more concerned than usual and would greatly
appreciate your fervent prayers to God on her behalf.
David enjoyed worshiping with the Bodowdaa Christians
this morning. It was a wonderful worship together and it was good to see
that they are continuing to grow in Christ. All in all it is good to be
back. We have been looking forward to our return for some time now and
we praise God for his faithful guidance. God bless each of you with the
wonderful joy of the Lord. -- The Reeves
