Team Update

Team Retreat

This week, our team enjoyed our bi-annual team retreat. During this time we played, prayed, assessed our spiritual walks with God and evaluated our team goals and ministries. It was a productive and rewarding time (see picture at left!). The Kabiye team is currently working with 18 churches and 4 teaching points throughout Kabiyeland.

Reeves Family Update - kabiye4christ@yahoo.fr

Greetings from the Reeves family! We are on our final lap of our furlough time here in the states and are looking forward to our return to Togo on October 18. We are also feeling sad about leaving family and friends whom we love dearly. As comfortable as we have become in both Togo and the U.S. it makes it that much stranger in some ways to come and go each time. We are beginning to realize more keenly that we can identify with both cultures but don't really belong to either of them. So, we seem to feel more intensely the inevitable sadness of leaving one soil and happiness in returning to the other that come every time we transition between Togo and the states. Please pray for us and our children as we make this transition back to Togo, that it will be smooth and blessed with God's providence.

This week we are excited about, and ask you to pray for, the Together For Togo conference that is being hosted this year by our sponsoring congregation here in Richland, WA. Frank and Jenna Bunner, Edwin and Patty Slack, Mark and Nicole Kennell (all former missionaries in Togo) and our new teammate Brett Emerson, will all be at the conference along with our mentor and dear friend, Tom Moore, marriage and family therapist, who will be the keynote speaker. Families, friends, and members from the sponsoring churches of the missionary families on our team and the Watchi team will be traveling to Richland for the conference. The conference will take place Oct. 7-9 and we ask you to pray with us that it will be a time for all involved that will bring much glory to the Lord.

Also, please continue to pray with us for the Lord to provide us with funds for a new vehicle. Any donations may be sent to Richland Church of Christ, 933 Thayer Drive, Richland, WA 99354 with Reeves truck fund written in the memo space. Thank you for all of your prayers for us! Be assured that they are answered! May God bless you with the assurance of His love for you this week!
