Family Skate Night
|

|
Make some memories with your family! Your children will love roller skating with you and their friends! We have a group rate of $5 per skater (or $7 for inline skates) at Skate Plaza the evening of Saturday, February 7th. A little pizza and soda is included in our group rate, but you might want to eat a little before you come, or bring some extra money. You may bring in desserts for our group, but no other outside food is permitted. You may come and go…but while you're here, have lots of fun!

Parent's Night Out!

If you have felt hard-pressed to spend one-on-one time with your husband or wife recently…we can help! So make plans, get excited and know that your children will be well cared for while you are caring for your marriage! Patrick, Allison and the teens of dgYm offer their services to your family, at no cost. Any donations will be awarded to the teens who are present as scholarships for Youth Ministry activities.
Please note that all children (including teens) should be picked up by 11:30. |

Mid-Winter Worship Retreat |

For years, the teens of this congregation have made their way into snowy Camp Prince's Pine for a mid-winter retreat in February…
For years, the Tweeners group has spent time encouraging a growing faith, and reveling in a downhill tube run at Camp Prince's Pine…
This year, we introduce the Mid-Winter Worship Retreat! A weekend retreat for teens… A weekend retreat for Tweeners… A weekend retreat for families… A weekend retreat for us all!
We will add to the enormous fun of the tube run a family focus on (and practice of) worship.
Delving into the meaning of the words we sing, engaging each member of the family in worship, exploring songs (both familiar and new) to give authentic expression to our faith and hope in Christ. |

Father/Daughter Date Night

Remember when you decided, maybe even before you met your daughter , that you would love her, protect her, cherish her and adore her? Remind your daughter (and yourself) of how special she is to you…show her how she should expect to be treated…take a little time just for the two of you and the love that you share.
Fathers and daughters of all ages are invited. The menu includes: Lasagna, bread, salad, green beans, and chocolate chip brownie cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Dinner and activities will be provided…the memories you make will be priceless. You might even take her to a movie or something else afterward to show her how wonderful you think she is.
What We Need: Any women willing to help in the kitchen or serve dinner should contact Allison. |

Family Game Night

Bring out the whole family for a night of games, also bring any games you might have at home and want to play. We will begin at 6pm with pizza and then get started with our games. Bring your game face and some warm clothes in case we play an outside game! Cost is $5 per family. |

Mother/Daughter Sleepover
|
|
|
Mothers and Daughters this is our chance to bond as ladies. Last year's event was great, the moms enjoyed being pampered and the daughters enjoyed doing the pampering. After last year's event, Amelia requested that we have a sleepover with mothers and daughters, so here it is. If you cannot sleepover, please feel free to be a part of the event for the amount of time that you can. We will have dinner out and then come back to the BARNaBUS for manicures, pedicures, massages and more. We will then watch a girly movie (possibly Anne of Green Gables, Amelia!), any requests? And then off to bed! or not? |

Family Bible Camp

Second annual Family Bible Camp! This year is going to be even better than the first! We can't wait to spend this time with you again. For those of you who didn't attend… Each night we ate dinner together, had a drama, a class, a family building activity, and then a tasty snack. The event runs Sunday – Wednesday 6pm-8:30pm. A registration form and more information will be coming. |

Fun Fridays happen throughout the summer, every Friday 10am – Noon. Many of the events happen at our church building but stay informed so you will know where to meet us in case they are somewhere else. You can always contact Allison Ford for updated info. Fun Friday – Tie Dye Day

10am – Noon @ the church. Our first Fun Friday this year will be Tie Dye Day. Please bring something white to Tie and Dye with. Last year we had some creative folks bring socks, underwear, and even pillowcases. Do not limit yourself to a T-shirt, though they are very fun to wear! |

Fun Friday – Bike Day

10am – Noon @ the church. Bike Day is a favorite of some of our kids, so we are going to do it again! Bring your bike to the church and we will have the parking lot marked off for the safety of our kids. They will have the whole parking lot to ride all over! Parents, don't forget to bring your bikes too! |

Fun Friday – Beach Day

10am – Noon @ Honeysuckle Beach. If weather is warm enough we will meet at Honeysuckle Beach at 10am and enjoy a few hours in the sun. Don't forget to bring sun screen and some hydration! If the water is not warm enough yet we will switch this one with another Fun Friday further out in the summer. |

Silverwood
|

We would like to invite the whole church to join the Youth Ministry for a day out at Silverwood. When the time gets closer, please look for a signup sheet, so we will know if we have enough people for a group rate or if we are just going to buy the tickets at Costco. Last year the price was about $30 for an adult and $17 for a child. So prices will probably be around that much this year. More info will come later. |

10am – Noon @ the Kishs' home. Bring your bathing suit, water gun, and sunscreen and join us for some water fun. If you have any inflatable pools feel free to bring them. |

Family Camping Trip |

We would like to invite you out camping with the Youth Ministry at the Welters' property. Everyone is welcome. The property can accommodate trailers or Tents but does not have hook ups. More info and directions will come later. |

Corn Maze

We will have our yearly family wide event at the Corn Maze from 6pm-8pm. Meet at the church by 5:30 or meet us there. It is between Prairie and Seltice on Beck Rd. $5 per person, $15 max per family. |

Parade of Bible Characters

|
Our Parade of Bible characters will begin at 6:30 on Wednesday the 28th of October, come and support our kids and the kids form CCS. Parents, help your child dress like a character from the Bible. They need to bring with them, up on the stage, a paper with three clues written on it neatly. If you need help being creative, contact Allison Ford. |

Trunk or Treat

We will be doing our trunk or treat again this year from 5pm to 7pm. There will be hot dogs in the BARNaBUS and a fire and hot chocolate in the prayer garden. Come decorate your cars and pass out candy to our kids, kids from CCS and from the community. Be creative! Meet at the parking lot by 4:30 if possible, to ensure safety for our children. |

This tea is hosted by Marci Nelson and is also located at her house at Noon on the 21st of November. This event is open to all Ladies of the church, but we really want to encourage mother and daughters to come together. Please bring a dish to share with everyone. |

Family Wide Children's Ministry Christmas Party

|
Bring your family and join us for gift games, crafts, carols, snacks, and even an appearance of Mr. & Mrs. Clause. Please bring a snack to share with everyone and a wrapped gift for each person in your family who attends. Please do not spend much on these gifts; there is a $5 max on any one gift. Feel free to even bring un-used things from home as gifts or get them at the dollar store. The focus is not on the gift itself but the fun we will have sharing these gifts. If you need financial assistance with these gifts please contact Allison Ford. |
