Church Family Update...

• CHURCH FAMILY PHOTO DIRECTORIES... All members (whether you had your picture taken or not) are entitled to one copy of our new church directory, we it call our Family Album. This is the last Sunday we will hand them out after worship. After today, you will need to get your copy through the church office.

• Family Dynamics...This weekend the elders have sent Mike and Cindy Wood; plus, Katrina and Paul Swaim to Vancouver, Washington. They will be trained and certified to teach courses in Family Dynamics that will strengthen our marriages. We hope this will develop into a valuable ministry offering these training sessions twice a year at DG Church.

• Welcome Ronnie Ross to our summer office ministry and Youth Ministry internship... Starting Monday Katrina will be taking some unpaid leave this summer to some spend time with her family, but she will return in a a few months and resume her outstanding work with our office... In the meantime we are thankful for Ronnie and his passion to serve.

• Family Promise... We are hosting families for a Kaleidoscope week this coming week! Other churches will be providing most of the volunteers and all of the meals, but we need one person from our congregation to stay overnight at the building each night for insurance purposes. If you can help, please contact Christina Heater at 665-1537.

• We hope to begin a “signing ministry” soon... Lynelle Dehlbom has been working toward offering a signing ministry for the impaired who wish to worship with us on Sunday. We plan to start slow and NOT “go public” until we are confident we can have several people ready to sign the entire service. Right now, Lynelle would like to hear from anyone who has any interest in participating in or and/or supporting this ministry.

• New Approach to VBS in 2010... This year we will do a daytime “Bible Sports Camp” from 9am -11:30am, July 26-28. Kids can improve their soccer and cheerleading skills while learning about God’s Word and working as a team. It will be called “UNDEFEATED.” Pray we will be able to better connect with our neighborhood. Volunteer to help today!

• Food Pantry Drive... We need Ramen noodles, egg noodles, chicken noodle soup, boxed pasta dinners, peanut butter, tomato sauce, tuna, Jell-O and canned fruit. Place items in the grocery cart in the lobby.

• New Phone Number... Helen Gifford has a new phone number. It is 667-2746!

• Mark You Calendars... The Boomer’s Barbeque is July 17 and the Tweeners day at the Slates in July 31.
