Church Family Update...

• Katrina Swaim will be in the church office this coming week... But after that she will be taking “an unpaid leave” to spend some time with her children this summer. Ronnie Ross, newly minted graduate, will be helping with the office ministry and the youth ministry this summer.

• Next Sunday is IRONMAN SUNDAY... That means thousands of bikers will be using 4th Street and it will be closed to regular traffic. You should be allowed to cross 4th Street at appropriate times by volunteers; however, all of us need to enter through the gates on Hanley and then drive into the regular parking lot. It is a minor inconvenience.

• OUR NEW CHURCH FAMILY DIRECTORIES ARE READY... Each family may pick up their copy of the directory after worship today. We are trying to keep a record of who pick’s up their directory so we can be sure every one gets one. Whether you allowed us to take your picture of not, you are entitled to one copy. After everyone has one, we will make extra copies available to those that may want another copy. Special thanks to Katrina Swaim for her many hours of extra work on the project and thanks to the many who volunteered to put it together.

• LIFEgroup #7 is multiplying!... After a year of great blessings and growth, LIFEgroup #7 is bursting at the seams, so it’s time to start a new group!  Beginning July 11th, LIFEgroup 7South, led by Ben Heater and Mike Wood, will be meeting at the Woods’ house.  LIFEgroup 7North, led by Paul Swaim and Jim Klein, will meet at the Swaims’.  If you don’t have a LIFEgroup yet, come check out one of these groups!

• New Approach to VBS in 2010... This year we will do a daytime “Bible Sports Camp” from 9am -11:30am, July 26-28. Kids can improve their soccer and cheerleading skills while learning about God’s Word and working as a team. It will be called “UNDEFEATED.” Pray we will be able to better connect with our neighborhood. Volunteer to help today!

• Children’s Ministry Committee Announced... You will find the summer schedule of children’s Bible classes on posters around the building. A committee has been formed to develop and monitor children’s classes. Their names are listed on the posters.

• Food Pantry Drive... We need Ramen noodles, egg noodles, chicken noodle soup, boxed pasta dinners, peanut butter, tomato sauce, tuna, Jell-O and canned fruit. Please help, place food item in lobby basket.

• New Phone Number... Helen Gifford has a new phone number, it is 667-2746!

• Family Promise... We are hosting families this coming week! We still need volunteers, if you can help contact Cindy Wood at 818-5924.
