Church Family Update...

  • Trunk-or-Treat, Fall Festival October 31st... This fun family time is a safe and wholesome alternative to Halloween and is open to our community. Call Kathy Taylor at 772-2265 for more info.

  • MINISTRY FAIR, November 1... Plan to come to the Ministry Fair and join a ministry that you are passionate about! Inside this Family News, find a list of all our congregational ministries. You can sign up on Nov. 1.

  • Eternal Threads...Thanks to everyone who purchased a bag, scarf, or jewelry from Eternal Threads at Ladies Fall Fellowship. You raised $3024 to help women across the world care for and educate their families and to rescue girls from the slave trade. You can still order items anytime at the website: www.eternalthreads.com.

  • The Comforters is a new ministry... dedicated to visiting shut-ins. We are compiling a list of all members who are homebound or in any care facility. Please call the office to add names of family and friends to the list.

  • LTC Informational Meeting... immediately after worship today regarding LTC 2010. LTC is April 16-18, 2010 in Richland, Washington. The theme is “THE ROCK” from 2 Samuel 22:31-36. This meeting is for parents, students, and anyone who is interested in finding out more.

  • Craft Night, October 23 in the Youth Barn...The fun begins at 5:30! Ladies bring a snack to share and your favorite craft project to work on.

  • Thanksgiving Tea, November 7, noon, at Marci Nelson’s... Mark your calendars, ladies of all ages! Please bring a finger food to share.

1. Remember that the first five minutes after a guest pulls into the parking lot are crucial... Many guests make up their minds within the first few minutes whether or not a church is friendly, interested in them, and the kind of place where they can fit in.
2. Remember that the first five minutes after we dismiss are crucial…Guests tend to exit quickly... As soon as we dismiss, look for a new face and talk with them! Intentionally avoid members for a few minutes; they will remain long after the guests leave...

  • Youth and Family Minister Search Update... On October 21, the elders will begin working through the applications submitted so far. Phone interviews will follow for any promising candidates.
