Good Morning Guests… Welcome to a great and warm church family. The Dalton Gardens Church of Christ exists to honor Jesus Christ by serving and loving others. Our guests are the most important people here today. Please know our communion service is open to all Christians. The nursery is located just outside the worship area. There are special children’s worship classes for those age 2 thru 4th grade that are announced during the worship assembly.

LTC for 2007
will be starting up in the very near future.  We will have an informational meeting and sign up during the ministry fair on Sunday Jan 21.  This year we will be attending LTC Northwest which will be in Prineville, Oregon.  We are excited about this new location as many churches from the Northwest will now be involved and we will be doing LTC with the young people that we go to youth rallies and summer camps with.  The dates for LTC this year are April 20 - 22 (which is not Easter).  This year’s theme is “Unstoppable” and the Bible bowl book is Acts.  LTC is for youth grades 3 -12 grade and we look forward to seeing as many as possible involved this year.  For those interested a Bible bowl study course on Acts, led by Robert Frisk is on Wednesday nights in the bus barn.
Thanks, Mark Borsheim

Shepherd's Corner...

A special day of fellowship!  by Dan DuPey

Are you ready? This is the day! Remember the great devotional song, "This is the day"? A few of the lyrics remind us to be cognizant of Every day. Every day is special because God has given it to us. We need to remember how special it is! Be aware. Look around and see what God has done. We can easily acknowledge that God is awesome. Try to realize how special and important our DAY is. We should rejoice and be glad in it. This is the day that the Lord has made! We are NOT guaranteed another day.

It is always a great thing when we can communicate with one another in a loving way! It is always uplifting and encouraging when we share our love with one another! It is always refreshing to know our involvement can make a difference in the lives of others. It is always beneficial to all when we participate as His sheep in the activities of His Church.

We know that there have been many weeks of planning, organizing, contacting, adjusting, and fine tuning in preparation for this day. We are impressed with all that has taken place with our individual ministries. We are excited about the direction and vision we have outlined for 2007. We encourage all of you to find a ministry that you feel comfortable working in! Please, take a few minutes today and stop by all the booths that have been set up. Collect the information available and make a decision to become involved in one or more of the ministries. Romans 12:10 states, "Be devoted one to another."

The Church GROWS when we have fellowship with one another! This is an exciting time for Dalton Gardens Church as we all become more involved.

Teen Scene...

Last weekend's retreats were a great success. The Girls that went to the Fredriksons’ had a lot of fun doing girl stuff, watching movies, and just visiting. Many of you girls missed this event so make plans now to be a part of this retreat next year! As for the guys, we also had fun. It was plenty cold up at camp - 10 degrees on Sunday morning and it never did get to 0. The tube run is ready for the Tweeners and for mid winter. We had six senior high guys go this year and we are already looking forward to next year. The only casualty was the old guy who injured his knee. Everyone remember the ministry fair this afternoon. All of you teens need to sign up to serve in other areas besides the youth ministry. Take a look around and pick something. You would be a blessing to any ministry!  -Scott

Ministry Fair—TODAY

Every ministry of the congregation will have a booth where you can sign up to serve.

We ask each member for just 30 minutes to tour the booths and see how we serve others...Plenty of snacks...You will literally be able to snack your way around the room.

This is one of the key SUNDAYS OF 2007. Please be a participant.

It is COLD outside!  by Dan DuPey

January has brought a mass of cold weather that has kept the staff with daily recess decisions. "Do I take the students out today or not?" Or, "Do I want to go out today or not?" God is still amazing. He brings warm hearts and encouraging words from students, staff and parents. Our hearts aren't so quick to re-act to the cold, freezing temperatures. Phil 2:14 reminds us to do all things without grumbling or complaining! This can be difficult. But, our hearts and minds that have been bound in the Word can always produce encouraging thoughts to one another. They are not contingent upon "perfect" weather! ... We often receive an encouraging note from a parent of one of our students. The following is simply one of these examples: 1-10-06 “Mrs. Dehlbom, We just wanted to thank you for the fantastic job you are doing teaching Lily! She has only been in school 4 months and is at home spelling words like crazy! “SBeSHL Mom" (special mom), “VQUWEEN" (Queen) We love her report card and we love you! Thanks for all your patience and kindness. Bruce and Lynsey Foster. We truly DO have a great staff that daily practice the fruits of the spirit mentioned in Galatians 5!”
