We're On the Grow...

And We Love Guests...

Good Morning Guests… Welcome to a great and warm church family. The Dalton Gardens Church of Christ exists to honor Jesus Christ by serving and loving others. Our guests are the most important people here today. Please know our communion service is open to all Christians. The nursery is located just outside the worship area. There are special children’s worship classes for those age 2 thru 4th grade that are announced during the worship assembly. Our worship is based upon the simple, yet sincere model of the New Testament. It is designed to encourage everyone to be a participant. Remember, the intent of your heart is always more important than your musical skill...So feel free to sing out in joy to the Lord. Most importantly...relax, feel welcome. We’re glad you are here and love you just the way you are, and your questions are always welcomed.

No Meeting at Building this Wednesday

Instead we are asking members to meet with their families and guests for a special “Giving Thanksgiving” Devo.

Shepherd's Corner...

Have you hugged your child today? Do you remember when this was being asked all the time? It was on bumper stickers, billboards, TV commercials, etc. It is a good question. It is an encouraging question. It is a question that is designed to challenge parents to be in the lives of their children everyday. This is a challenge and encouragement that can never be made enough.

Here is another question that should be asked. Have you hugged God today? Have you put God in your life everyday? Have you drawn near to Him? Last week we discussed how we do that in prayer, and we need to do that daily. We also do this when we reach out to others. In Matt. 25:34-40, Jesus says that we are caring for and embracing him when we do this to others. He wants us to draw near to him and to embrace him. So this question remains to encourage and challenge you. Have you hugged God today?

Teen Scene...

I would like all of the teens to take notice of the newly restructured ministry plan. You are all involved in our youth activities but each one of you can also be involved in many other ministries as well. A few of you have been working in Bible hour for a long time and that's great. Others of you may be wondering where you fit in or what can you do to help. Take a look at the various ministries and select one that interests you. Talk to that ministry head, and they will be happy to find a place for you to serve. Don't think that youth group things are all that you can do. Your energy and excitement can be very useful, and others may get fired up by your example. Start today!  -Scott

...when you eat turkey and I write cards to the people that come over. —Stormy
...when you eat turkey and have fun with your family. —Allie
...when we go to Montana to see grandma and grandpa. —Caitlin
...celebrating turkeys and eating turkeys. —Genesis
...when my cousins come over to my house and we play together. You can have Thanksgiving dinner and breakfast and lunch. —Peyton
...when I play in the backyard with my dog and my dog chased me and I went inside and I played on the computer and I watched TV and I watched Kim Possible. —Alexis
...when I get my decorations ready for Thanksgiving and we eat turkey after we put the decorations up. —Joel
...November. I will be gone for my trip and I will miss Thanksgiving and my sister will be there and my sister will see my other sister. —Timothy
