We're On the Grow...

And We Love Guests...

Good Morning Guests… Welcome to a great and warm church family. The Dalton Gardens Church of Christ exists to honor Jesus Christ by serving and loving others. Our guests are the most important people here today. Please know our communion service is open to all Christians. The nursery is located just outside the worship area. There are special children’s worship classes for those age 2 thru 4th grade that are announced during the worship assembly. Our worship is based upon the simple, yet sincere model of the New Testament. It is designed to encourage everyone to be a participant. Remember, the intent of your heart is always more important than your musical skill...So feel free to sing out in joy to the Lord. Most importantly...relax, feel welcome. We’re glad you are here and love you just the way you are, and your questions are always welcomed.

Shepherd's Corner...

There are Changes... And Then There are Not
Lately we have undergone several changes; a new preacher, new elders, and new deacons and ministry leaders being selected to list a few. When you read through the Bible you will also find several changes. From the Old Testament through the New Testament there have been different preachers and teachers, but one thing did not change. God does not change (Mal 3:6). He always wants us to draw near to Him (Heb 10:22). As we undergo changes in this life we need to always focus upon Him, and to look at how we may glorify Him.   -David Bruner for the Shepherds

Teen Scene...

This morning as you read this, the teens are wrapping up an exciting weekend that we call "Come Before Winter". We are in St Maries for this annual retreat. A special thanks to Ruby Rude and to Don and Betty Rude for allowing us to use their cabins again. The theme for this year's retreat has been "Standing Strong, Hanging On.” We have spent many hours studying the life of Joseph and discussing how our faith needs to be strong like his. The teens have looked inward at some tough situations in their lives and shared with each other how they have grown stronger through these tough times. I would ask all of you at Dalton Gardens to pray for our safe return this afternoon and also for the teens as they strive to live the life of a strong Christian. We love all of you!  -Scott

Note From Our Elders

We are just weeks away from a new ministry structure at Dalton Gardens. That structure will include several ministry teams, each team consisting of several ministries along a common theme. Each team will be led by Team Captains (mostly Deacons). When in place, the Team Captains will select the leaders of each ministry on their team in consultation with the elders. For now, all current ministry leaders should continue doing what they are doing presently. However, all ministry leaders should know their term of current service will conclude shortly. Some will be asked to continue in their present roles by Team Captains. Others will be asked to serve other ministries. Some new people will be asked to serve as Ministry Leaders. Please pray for Dalton Gardens as we prepare for a new era of ministry together. Thank you.

CCS Corner: Thanks for the Support

School has been in session just over 2 months and I have been greatly encouraged by the support of our student body's parents and of the church in general. We had a stellar turn out for our bookfair and raised about $900 worth of books and educational materials. This is fantastic as the book fairs are the only way we expand our school and classroom libraries and the Reading Counts! program. Our next big event is the craft fair. This will be our 11th year and I have enjoyed each one. We are looking for folks to have their own booths, to provide baked goods for the PTO Bake Booth (always a very busy booth!), and for people willing to donate time and effort in preparation and clean up. We also need lots of people to come to the fair and shop so mark your calendars and bring your friends! Please check the kiosk for areas where you can help.

Our 3rd & 4th grade class is going to be very busy over the next month. We will be going on a field trip to Petco as a culminating activity for our literature unit on The Mouse and the Motorcycle. We are also preparing for our own booth at the craft fair. We will be making various projects to earn money for items for our classroom and to help support the orphanage in Komsomolsk through Lifeline of Hope. You can help by donating materials for our projects and by shopping at our booth the day of the fair. Thank you for your encouragement and daily prayers for the school, students, staff and parents.

- Kathy Taylor
