Why LIFE Groups Matter

We're On the Grow...

And We Love Guests...

Good Morning Guests… Welcome to a great and warm church family. The Dalton Gardens Church of Christ exists to honor Jesus Christ by serving and loving others. Our guests are the most important people here today. Please know our communion service is open to all Christians. The nursery is located just outside the worship area. There are special children’s worship classes for those age 2 thru 4th grade that are announced during the worship assembly. Our worship is based upon the simple, yet sincere model of the New Testament. It is designed to encourage everyone to be a participant. Remember, the intent of your heart is always more important than your musical skill...So feel free to sing out in joy to the Lord. Most importantly...relax, feel welcome. We’re glad you are here and love you just the way you are, and your questions are always welcomed.

Deacons and Ministry Leaders Nominations Must Be Turned In By October 25th

Please Silence your Cell Phones and Pagers
During Bible Class and Worship.

Thank You for your consideration.

Preacher's Corner... (at least for one week)

The Shepherds wanted to take a brief one week break from the Shepherd’s Corner and asked me to fill in...LIFE Groups can be one of the most important activities you involve yourself in at Dalton Gardens. They are simply too valuable to miss. The following are four key principles to remember about the importance of LIFE Groups:

  1. Those who are part of LIFE Groups rarely drift away from the church.
  2. Those who are part of LIFE Groups have more close friendships than other members.
  3. Those who are part of LIFE Groups never have to look far for help in a crisis.
  4. LIFE-Groups can be one of the best entry points for getting to know new members, fringe members, and nonmembers because of the casual and welcoming atmosphere.

Please call any LIFE Group Leader listed on the back panel and let them tell you how you can attend their next meeting.

-Michael

Teen Scene...

I have been listening to a CD lately that has several awesome songs on it. As I listen to the songs the thought comes to mind why, why, why, do we try and find satisfaction and happiness in all sorts of unfulfilling places. Listen to these words from one of the songs.

"Everything I ever need, everything I long to be, the very air I breath is found in your love. Deeper than the deepest sea, your living water runs in me, my very heartbeat, is found in your love."

Our God is so awesome . So why do we search for other things to fill our heart? At the same time that he holds eternity in the palm of his hand, he holds you and me as tenderly as a newborn child. How much more could we ask for! If you don't feel that closeness with him let's talk about it so all of us can share in his love!  -Scott

Dalton Gardens Church of Christ

A Great Place to Just Dive In and Be Involved

CCS Corner: The Road is Narrow

The "Road of Life" may sometimes seem like a long, drawn-out path. It takes us on many journeys that we may or may not be prepared for. As a soldier for Christ, we find that this pathway or road that we travel on has specific boundaries or perimeters that must be followed. Christ has encouraged us to allow Him to carry the load and to turn to Him when our burden becomes weary. In Matthew 11:28, He states, "Come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest!" Throughout life, we take many detours. We realize as Christians that having a FIRM foundation on His Word is the "key" to keeping us on the path and/or bringing us back.

It is NEVER too early to prepare our children for this path! For Elijah, a special "new born" grand-child to me, to be exposed to his mother's soft words or his father's Christian songs is a blessing, indeed! To grow up in a home that believes in God's Love and discipline is a "special" blessing in today's society.

It is imperative that we utilize the gifts of the fruit mentioned in Gal 5:22 when we are training up our children. It is our job as Christian mentors to build a solid foundation on Christ within the lives of our children on their walk through life! This will develop a strong bond with Christ and strengthen His Church as the years go by.
