Important Stephen Ministries Meeting Today

We're On the Grow...

And We Love Guests...

Good Morning Guests… Welcome to a great and warm church family. The Dalton Gardens Church of Christ exists to honor Jesus Christ by serving and loving others. Our guests are the most important people here today. Please know our communion service is open to all Christians. The nursery is located just outside the worship area. There are special children’s worship classes for those age 2 thru 4th grade that are announced during the worship assembly. Our worship is based upon the simple, yet sincere model of the New Testament. It is designed to encourage everyone to be a participant. Remember, the intent of your heart is always more important than your musical skill...So feel free to sing out in joy to the Lord. Most importantly...relax, feel welcome. We’re glad you are here and love you just the way you are, and your questions are always welcomed.

Due to this mistake, we have a rescheduled date for those who have not been photographed yet. Tuesday, October 17, is the only day available to us. We will also be photographing any staff members who were missed on the first photography date. Please, let Dave Johnson know if this will not work for you if you were originally scheduled for the September 11 date. You will be called to be reminded as the day approaches. Olan Mills has apologized for the inconvenience and their mistake.

Shepherd's Corner...

STEPHEN MINISTRY— There will be a very short meeting Sunday (today) immediately after our worship meeting in the prayer room. We appreciate all the good service rendered over the past four years. Over forty-five people have been helped by the Stephen Ministry. Those serving include: Lynelle Dehlbom, Lavina Dooley, Ron McIntire, Claudia Moberg, Mary Peterson, Lamont Peterson, Helen Rouse, Scott Rouse, Karmen Rouse, Don Rude, Betty Rude, Judie Sanborn, Larry Slate, Sylvia Slate, Margie Waddell, Betty Williams and David Shaner. The teachers were David Bruner, Anna Crump and Ralph Crump. We deeply appreciate the dedication and effort of these Christians. They truly demonstrated the Biblical call to “bear one another’s burdens.” They were excellent Stephen care-givers.

Teen Scene...

Teens,
I just want to stop and tell you how much I love all of you. You guys are a major part of my life and I need each one of you in my life. I truly love you with all my heart and want to spend eternity with you in heaven. The bond of love that we share is because of Jesus Christ and his love for us. We have been talking quite a bit lately about how and why we need to influence our friends. We all agreed that outreach should be a high priority. Sometimes though there seems to be a road block between saying and doing. My question for you is this, what will it take for us to begin inviting people to join us at some of our activities? You know that we have in our possession the greatest news the world has ever known. Jesus is what your friends need. All you need to do is introduce them to him. If you struggle with that part tell me, I'll be happy to help. I guess it boils down to getting them here. If you bring someone the group will help with the rest. Remember to pray about it!  -Scott

 CCS Corner: CHANGES

It is officially Autumn, and the trees are just beginning to change....How beautiful is God's creation. Change is everywhere. Change is a natural part of life. C.C.S. has gone through many changes over the years, yet our mission to reach and teach the children and their families with God's message has not changed. This year Mr. DuPey has the role of administrator, but does not teach a class. He is excited about the possibilities that this opportunity will bring, but misses teaching. Although he does not have a formal class, "once a teacher, always a teacher", his influence is far reaching. He interacts with the children of all ages and encourages the teachers daily. I believe that God is with us through this and all the changes we encounter. I will soon be a GRANDMA and Dan, a GRANDPA. This too is a change....A big one! Even now as I write, Kelly is about to deliver our grandson! This change will bring a blessing to our family and a bonus....a blessing to our work, here at C.C.S.

- In Him, Teri Dupey, 1st & 2nd Grade Teacher
