‘What The Church Ought To Be...
What Will Dalton Gardens Be?”

Be part of planning for our Future

Dalton Gardens' Future!

Good Morning Guests…. Welcome to great and warm church family. The Dalton Gardens Church of Christ exists to honor Jesus Christ by serving and loving others. Our guests are the most important people here today. Please know our communion service is open to all Christians. The nursery is located just outside the worship area. There are special children’s worship classes for those age 2 thru 4th grade that will be announced during the worship assembly. Our worship is based upon the simple yet sincere model of the New Testament. It is designed to encourage everyone to participant. Remember, the intent of your heart is always more important than your musical skill...So feel free to sing out in joy to the Lord. Most importantly...relax, feel welcome, we’re glad you are here and love you just the way you are and your questions are always welcome.

Dear Dalton Gardens Family… Let’s do everything thing we can to let our love and joy show this morning as we praise God and honor Jesus in our worship. Then let’s live this week with a life of worship that brings honor to our Lord and encourages others to seek Him. I am going to be talking about the importance of being a family today. This is already a strength of this congregation. People really matter here and we want that passion to continue to grow among us. There are so many in our surrounding community that are thirsty for non-judgmental, loving friends that can count on thru thick and thin. We can touch many with our love if we are willing to share it. REMEMBER TO TAKE TEN TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS. We are on our way to heaven...Let’s celebrate ...Michael

Shepherd's Corner...

Last Lord’s Day the day of dedication brought fourth joy, celebration, thanksgiving, gratitude and a large attendance. The attendance resulted in fifty visitors! A total of 281. We wish to thank all of those who brought visitors. In addition we wish to thank all of those who spoke, Michael Lewis, Ralph Crump, Don Rude, Scott Rouse, Rick Blanchard and David Bruner. Additionally a heartfelt appreciation goes out to Georgette Rude explaining the different stations of the Garden of Prayer. There is a enlightening brochure, now in the track rack that explains the different stations.

Thanks also for all of your moral support, presence and those who brought food for the big barbeque celebration. We heard many comments of appreciation for those who lead in our worship and dedication service. In Gal. 5:6 we read “faith works by love”. Your extension of love to one another and strangers along with your hospitality to one another was also appreciated. You helped bring Christian joy that was apparent, visible and noteworthy.

Again we as elders thank everyone of you who helped in our celebration and dedication this last Lord’s Day. “I thank God for every time I remember you”. Phil. 1:3       -The Elders

Teen Scene

God's ultimate goal for us is to make us like Christ(1John 3:2). As we become more and more like Him, we begin to discover our true selves, the people that we were created to be. How can we, or specifically teens, be conformed into the likeness of Christ? By hearing God's word and doing what it says. By studying Jesus life on earth through the Gospels and imitating Him. Allowing yourself to be filled with his Spirit, and doing his work in the world. Find someone in your life that has the spiritual relationship that you would like to have and use them as a role model. Most of all, pray to God that He will mold you into the person that He needs you to be.  -Scott

There is Wisdom and There is Wisdom

Ted was a boy scout and more brilliant than most 40 year olds at the age of 10. At the age of 12 he composed music and studied his favorite composers were Bach and Gabrielli. The University of Chicago gave him a scholarship to study Greek Tragedies at 15. He was 16 when he was accepted at Harvard and completed four years of undergraduate education in three years. Three years later he had completed a Masters and Ph.D. in Mathematic at the top graduate programs in the world, the University of Michigan. His dissertation received the prize as the top mathematical research discovery in the world the year he accepted an invitation to join the faculty at the University of California—Berkeley. He was brilliant but he was also broken. His name Ted Kaczynski….You may also know him as the UNABOMBER. He currently serves a life sentence without parole at the top maximum security prison in the United States in Colorado….In this time of year when many prepare to return to school, we should never forget that while education is good, it is not the ultimate ticket to greatness or success. There is a reason the wise man said,” Wisdom is better than being foolish, but what is gained for both the wise and fool die...Here is the end of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, this is what really matters. (Eccl. 2:13 and 12:12, 13).”

-Michael
