Family News January 18, 2004 Shepherd’s Corner If you were unable to attend the congregational meeting last week you missed hearing about some exciting new works. We talked about a campus ministry at NIC. Meetings begin tomorrow for the steering committee to prepare for planting another church. Our education program is receiving a new revitalized format. These are not all of the exciting -For the Elders Church Growth Seminar: Next Sunday, January 25-26, we will be hosting a seminar entitled, “Overcoming Growth Barriers in Middle-Sized Churches.” Dr. Mark McLean from the Central Kitsap church of Christ in Silverdale, Washington, will teaching this seminar. If you would like to see the church grow both spiritually and numerically, be sure to be present for this time. It is easy for churches to plateau at a certain level because of an unrealized subculture that actually limits how much a church can grow. These lessons can help us to realize what these limitations are so that we can over come them. Be sure to be in attendance at ever session. Our LIFE Groups will not be meeting next Sunday in their homes but are encouraged to be present at the seminar.
