December 26th, 1999 SHORT By STUFF DAVE SHANER Starting next Sunday, we will have a change in our Sunday evening & mid-week format. On Sunday evenings, LTC will continue to meet from 5:30-7:00 pm. From 5:30-6:30 pm, the Bible Study Groups that formerly met throughout the week will be meeting. On Wednesday evenings at 7 pm, we will be having Bible classes here at the building for all ages. This is going to require some coordination by all on our part. For those with children in LTC, you will be able to drop our your children at the buiding and then proceed on to your home study. You will then be able to pick them up by 7 pm. Some of the groups are a considerable distance from the building and the distance makes the coordination impractical. Because of this, some of the BSG's will be meeting here at the building. Some will continue to meet mid-week in their current locations. It may work out better for some to attend a different Bible Study Group. Actually, we would love to develop more and more Bible Studies throughout the community every day. Although some of the BSGs, will be meeting throughout the week, we want to encourage everyone to come to the regular Bible classes at the building on Wednesday evenings. There are several reasons for this change. First, because of the groups, many do not get the opportunity to see everybody else except on Sundays. This provides us with a time mid-week to see everyone. Another reason is that the limited time on weekdays prohibits some groups from practicing special activities such as barbecues, potlucks, and special outings. Being a school night, it limits some from attending longer activities. The Sunday groups will have the option of meeting earlier in the afternoon for special activities. The Wednesday Bible classes will meet at 7:00 pm and should be over around 7:45 pm. We are also exploring being able to offer dinner before classes on Wednesday in order to encourage more to participate. We will likely be making adjustments as time goes on, but ask that you jump right in and get involved! If you have any questions, please see Dan Dupey, Mike Reeves, or Dave Shaner.Have a Great Millenium! "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek myface and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and will heal their land." - II Chronicles 7:14 Don't Miss The Party!! December 31st, beginning, 7:00 pm, at the building. There will be internet coverage of various New Millenium festivities from throughout the world shown on the big screen in the large auditorium. There will also be a bonfire and smores begining at 7 pm. We will also be singing in the new millenium and praising God. Be sure to bring your favorite snacks and games. This would be a great time to invite your friends. The start of a new millenium does not happen very often. In fact, most likely, you will not be around for the next one. When Y2K strikes, you want to be around Christians! Let's look forward to this time as we trust in God, enjoy each other's fellowship, and bring in the new year. Be sure to be here. You won't want to miss it. Christmas Baskets A special thank
you to all of you for helping to supply others with a happier Christmas.
Also thanks goes out to the CCS students and their student council for
helping collect food as well. Baskets with Turkeys and all the trimings
were donated to help others. A total of 31 Christmas baskets were delivered
by the LTC Teens, Kim Frisk, Paula Jaynes, Kathy Morse, and others.
This was a big job but was very enjoyable.

Mike's Memos MORE STARS!!! Our teens musical abilities inspire us and improve the quality of our worship. Their skills are also noted in other settings. Recently Jessica Bruner was selected to All State Orchestra, & Clarissa White was selected for All State Choir. These young ladies have earned the honors they have received and our congratulations as well. We are proud of you! There are so many things our teens do that make us proud. Their leadership in the organizing of our Christmas basket giving was excellent. They put the whole thing together, and saw it through to the delivery to the families. Other baskets were also put together by our younger LTC kids and delivered with the help of Kim Frisk and other LTC leaders. MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY The ministry of Jesus revolved
around serving the poor and needy. His model of ministry should be ours
as well. He fed the hungry. We should feed the hungry. We will be starting
a Soup Kitchen in the near future. Kim Frisk wants to serve, and has been
doing the leg work, finding out what will be needed, and how to make it
all happen. The greatest need is to find two or three individuals who would
like to serve with her in this outreach ministry. She would love to talk
with you about it. Call her at 772-2217.

India Mission Info Jim Rude
recently sent a note sharing with us about the hurricane that devastated
India in October. "Orissa" is just north of the area where he worked last
year. It is also very close to the Leper colony which we have supported.
Orissa state is the area of India where Brother J.C. Bailey worked and
had started churches. On January 13th, 2000, Jim and his two sons, David
and James will be going to Orissa. They are planning to take extra suitcases
filled with clothing to give to brethren there. If you can help either
with clothing or finances, be sure to contact the church office right away.
