David Bruner
David and Linda Bruner’s first date was for a football game at
Harding University. He says, “she made eyes at me the whole
game.” They have been married for 32 years and have two children
(Justin who is a Youth Minister in Friendswood, Texas and
Jessica who works for the prosecuting attorney’s office in
Cd’A). David is a Social Worker with a nursing home in Spokane
Valley. He has served as one of the elders of Dalton Gardens
since 2000. When David thinks of Dalton Gardens he thinks of
home and family. He says, “we really are a place to belong, a
place to grow as a family and grow in the Lord.” |

Ralph Crump
Ralph and Anna met on a blind date in Houston, Texas over 40
years ago. He holds a doctorate in Counseling and they worked
many years as missionaries in Africa. They have three sons; Tony
in Montana, Andrew in Savannah, Georgia and the youngest, David
lives in Hubbard, Oregon.
Ralph and Anna have great hearts for ministry
and helping others. Ralph has been an elder for the past five
years and deeply appreciates the loving, friendly and united
Dalton Gardens church family.

Dan Dupey
Dan and his wife Teri met at a youth rally in the Tri-Cities and
have been married 28 years. They have three children (James,
Jennifer and Kelly), all faithful Christians with a sense of
ministry in their lives. Both Teri and Dan have been very
involved in Christian Education. Dan is the Director of Coeur
d’Alene Christian School and Teri is on the faculty.
Dan became one of the shepherds at Dalton
Gardens in 2006 and believes the congregation is a caring group
where the “fruit of the spirit is on display in every Christian
here.” He encourages everyone to continually put first things
first and “never give up in doing good.” He always encourages
folks to “Rejoice in the Lord always.”

Larry Grow
Larry and Jean have been married for over 45 years. They have
three children; one teaches at a Medical School, one is a Youth
Minister and the youngest manages an Auto Parts Store. Larry
served in the US Army for 20 years and moved to Cd’A to “retire”
in 1979. He has served as an elder since 1992.
Larry is always full of optimism for the
future of Dalton Gardens. “This is a wonderful family and truly
a place to belong.” Jean is active in several ministries.

Lamont “Pete”
Petersen
Pete and Mary both grew up in Mountain Home, Idaho. Pete worked
for the Forest Service and then went into the banking business.
Mary and Pete just celebrated their 40th anniversary of
marriage. They have two children, a son (Lamont E. in Post
Falls) and a daughter, Marla who lives in Portland. Pete became
an elder in 1998 when he retired from banking.
Pete says he loves Dalton Garden’s commitment
to God’s truth and loving one another. “I have a feeling of new
hope and excitement about the congregation,” Pete says, “I am
really looking forward to our future at Dalton Gardens.”

Don Rude
Don and Betty Rude met at North Idaho College and have been
married almost 50 years and started C&R Plumbing, worked it
together and then sold the business in 2000. They have four
children: Dan who is a plumbing contractor in Virginia, Kent who
is a local plumbing contractor, Jim who preaches in the Spokane
Valley and Becky who is a Respiratory Therapist in Oklahoma. The
Rude family has a rich heritage in the Dalton Gardens
congregation and Don has served the congregation as an elder for
about 20 years. Don is always positive about the future and
counts the congregation one of the greatest blessings of his
life. |

Larry Slate
Larry and Sylvia met in Abilene, Texas while Larry was in the
Air Force. Larry worked for the Bonneville Power Administration
for many years. They married in 1968 and have two children (Kienan
who is married with two children and has a rafting operation in
Missoula, Montana. Robyn is married with three children, has an
internet business in Freeman, Washington).
Larry became an elder at Dalton Gardens in
2006 and is known for his loving manner, good Bible teaching and
emphasis on relationships. Larry says, “This is a great place to
belong and a very loving family. This is a great Christian
family.”
